The Curry 5s could possibly be Stephen’s best signature shoe to date and here’s why..

The Curry 5 is a different shoe all together in terms of its features,design and the inspiration behind the latter.Being inspired by an NBA player,who happens to be a two time champion,two time MVP and a five time All-star with numerous awards under his belt,the sneaker is not your average basketball kick; seeing that it does not consist of the usual ankle high basketball shoe feature.This time,the baby faced assassin opted for a much lower and lighter sneaker and Under Armor delivered just that.One would say it is a rather risky one seeing that Curry has suffered many ankle injuries in the past yet still opted for a lower sneaker for on court purposes.Truth is,even though the shoe is lower,it is designed to still provide the necessary support around the ankles.

Inspired by Curry’s birth date,the shoe sports a Pi symbol (referring to the mathematical symbol of PI=3.14,which is similar to Stephen Curry’s birth date 3/14) woven into the shoe’s knitted upper.The laces are also diagonally placed and the kicks also have the Champ’s signature right next to the heel of the shoe.The design of the sneaker is very different from any of Steph’s signature shoes and consists of unpredictable features.Not only is this shoe a brilliant design,but it is rather descriptive of Stephen Curry himself on and off the court;genius,unpredictable and down to earth.Dave Dombrow who worked on the shoe, shared what he liked about the shoe,stating,’’ the shoe goes back to this idea of an impossible number. That goes back to Stephen and being wired different and he exceeds expectations of the impossible.”Curry and his Under Armor team deserve a high 5 for these Curry 5s!!
